Barry S. Blumberg serves as the Director of Construction for Prince George's Metro Center, Inc., which is developing University Town Center. Mr. Blumberg’s duties include supervision of all construction related activities including the negotiation of all architectural, engineering and permitting for the project as well as direct construction supervision. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Civil Engineering from the George Washington University, and Master of Arts degree in Structural Engineering from Renselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Blumberg has been with University Town Center since 2001. Prior to his service with UTC he was a developer of shopping centers, apartments and office parks in locations from Florida to New York. He has served on the staff of the Rouse Co. and was responsible for construction of several regional malls including Columbia Mall and the Village of Cross Keys. He was Vice President of Construction for the Lerner Companies, and Vice President of Upland Development, responsible for construction of a Hilton Hotel among other properties.
